I don't know how much damage sticks, I wasn't hurt when I changed back. probably bc I don't have a tail as a human. but not sure how much damage transfers back and forth with parts that exist in both forms. so yeah, it's good to be careful.

[The obvious way to check this would be to ask Leo if he's missing a limb as a pine marten but that might be tactless, and it doesn't clarify if the same injury would transfer in reverse.]
