[Oh, he knows that voice. A moment of silence for poor Raph, who only halfway deserves what's coming to him. Casey can't blame him for not saying anything, but this definitely wasn't a secret that was going to stay secret for long, so. This was inevitable.

The suggestion makes him hesitate again. His excuse was that he'd wanted to stay close but out of the way - he'd said he would be here, but the beds should be for the seriously injured, right? - but at least half of the truth was because "soft" doesn't appeal to him in his worst moments. The hard floor reminds him of a turtle shell. He felt safer with that stability under him.

He does need proper sleep, though. And people will probably worry less if he moves to a bed. Thus he'll nod, shifting a little and adjusting his grip on the chainstick, bracing it against the floor so he can use it for leverage.]

Yeah... [Hopefully he's sat long enough that his legs are less jellified.] I haven't seen sensei yet. But I'm glad he's here too.

[April doesn't think in terms of the floor maybe bein' more comfortable for him, sadly. It'd probably break her heart if she knew. She'll stand up once Casey tries for it, offering him a hand up if he wants it.]

He'll be glad you're back. [She crooks a grin.] So will Donnie, even if he never admits it. You know, one more person back where they should be.

[Thankfully he's not so proud that he won't accept the hand up. He's a little wobbly, but once he's upright, his legs hold. Let's get to that bed.]

He does hate when things are out of place.

[He musters another smile. Are things still weird with Donnie? Yeah. Is he more chill about it than he used to be? Mostly yeah again.]

Don't he just. [Normally she'd get him to take his boots off, but April will leave that in Casey's court given everything.]

[He might get around to his boots later, but yeah, probably best left alone. He's still too fight-or-flight to get homey.]
