Why, thank you. [Politely not going to mention she was sleeping before she got his message. The fact her phone woke her up means she wasn't exactly sleeping heavily. She keeps her voice down, snagging that drink, tyty.]

How long ago did you take that rat picture?

[Leo is well aware she could have simply not answered and gone back to sleep.]

[She totally could have. But hanging out at 3am is fun.]

Man, see? I've missed all the good stuff. [Yes, she's joking. Sorta. More she wishes she was here for other things.]

[He moves to kinda lean into her a little with his bad shoulder, holding the relic in one hand.]

So yeah, Raph and I saw that. Thennnn- Oh! Oh, there's this girl named Power, right? Was with us at ADI and look she's totally insane and totally Donnie's type. To a T, I don't think he'll go for it because wow cannot overstate how insane she is, but it's fun to watch.

I remember you mentioning her! Can't wait to meet her. [She says that, but future threads say otherwise.] Is Donnie interested in her at all?

Oh, she's great. Insane, absolute blast. And yes, he is but you know him. He's bein' all Donnie about it.

HmmMMmm. [This is the reflective sound of someone who's probably gonna poke her nose where it's not wanted at some point.]

I'm gonna assume she's not, like, insane insane. [Like someone we should keep an eye on. She doubts, but the last chick Donnie talked to was Kendra, so.]

[He fiddles with his relic before putting it away.]

Oh, she's both. Just fun insane and also insane-insane.

[It's fine she'll work this out for herself on the ice rink. But she helped Donnie kill fae so, y'know. She's predisposed to living with a little bit of insane-insane.]

Oh man what other gossip is there.... That's like the big one right now. Like, it's not big big, but it's probably the longest running B-plot since it's been going through two different hub universes.

An' of course I'm guessin' the A plot is 'how do we get home and take our new friends with us', right?

Naturally, of course. A looooot of C-Plots goin' on, I haven't even seen 'em all. But yeah, Don's been working on the whole 'leave this weird place in one piece' plan.

If anyone can do it, it's Donnie. In the meantime, I'm gonna take it like a college break.

[You know, if your bff loses their arm on college break. Common occurrence, right.]

Probably the best way to look at it. I mean, we get paid for talking to people. That's, like, the easiest thing in the universe for us to do.

And nobody can fire me. [IT'S THE DREAM. Well, the dream would be able to do this at home, but whatever.]

I gotta ask, though, what do you end up doing all day here? There is so much free time.

Around here? Whatever sounds fun. Hang out with Peter, watch trashy tv with Rue, look into some stuff with Don. Still tryin' to get the hang of my familiar stuff.

Omigosh. [Flops closer with her chin on her hands.] What trashy TV are you subjecting Rue to, tell me.

Drag race and dating shows. Obviously the most important ones.

Obviously. [Cackling.] You gotta tell me what they think! Give me first impressions.

Oh, they looove iiiiit. They are absolutely on team Jennika by the way, Rue has pitch perfect taste in all things so far.

[Except husbands, but that's a Leo problem.]

[Issues April has no clue about, but you can bet she'll try unpacking that way later.]

Well, duh. Everyone else is chump change in comparison.

I always knew you had the best taste of us all. I talked about making me and Rue matching Jennika shirts, you want me to make you one too?

Oh, hell yeah. [Just the thought of Rue in such a shirt is making her grin.] We gotta represent, right?

Exactlyyyy. No one else is here to cheer her on, so we've gotta do it and hope she can hear it across the multi-verse.

[It's good, hanging out like this. Low stakes, easy conversation. He really did miss April, it's good to see her even if she's dealing with trials and nonsense like this.]

They really like reality tv like that, so I bet we could find other stuff for them to watch too. They don't really like romcoms or sad romances, I haven't had anyone to cry over those with.
